Our Commitment
Access to care — and to the information you need to make decisions about your care — should not depend on how you see, hear, move, or process information. Making our website and our services usable by people with disabilities is part of the mission of Archangel Michael Health, PA, not an afterthought. We work at this continuously, and we mean it when we say: if anything on this site is hard for you to use, we will find another way to get it done together.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the widely accepted standard for making web content usable by people with a broad range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, and cognitive limitations.
Measures We Take
- Accessibility built in. Our page templates are designed for accessibility from the start — meaningful headings, labeled form fields, sufficient color contrast, and keyboard operability — rather than patched afterward.
- Regular checks, automated and human. We run regular automated accessibility scans (the UserWay scanner is one of the tools we use) and supplement them with manual keyboard navigation and screen-reader checks, because automated tools alone don’t catch everything.
- An accessibility widget on every page. The UserWay accessibility widget is available throughout the site. Open it by pressing the Tab key when a page first loads, or by selecting the accessibility icon in the corner of the page. It lets you adjust text size, contrast, spacing, and more — and remembers your preferences.
Known Limitations
Some content embedded from third parties — for example, certain forms and payment pages — may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We work with those vendors to improve, and in the meantime the alternatives below are always available.
Can’t Use Part of the Website? Here’s the Alternative
Anything you can do on this website, you can do by phone or email instead. If any part of the site is difficult for you, contact us and a person will help. We can:
- schedule appointments for you by phone;
- complete any form with you, with human assistance, over the phone or by email;
- provide large-print or paper copies of any document on this site; and
- give you extra time for any process — no step here has a deadline that can’t bend.
